Something that reflects the America of today. I like the idea of painting the fuselage in soft metallic gray but not sure about the 'ribbon' design in the front. How about increasing the size of the eagle (stylized in two colors with softer edges) to cover the entire tail and the aft section of the fuselage (see Quantas), while in the front section you paint the name AMERICAN in blue and AIRLINES in red underneath it to balance the design composition. Just 2 simple design elements. Logo in the aft section, name in the front section. Simple, clean yet strong and communicative. It's American. . . American Airline could use a fresh new design.
