It’s one thing to design an ugly airplane, but its an entirely different thing to design one that actually flies. Here are some of the ugliest airplanes ever created…and flown.

Nine wings? Somebody was compensating for something. This thing actually flew…once. It wasn’t very far, but it brought true meaning to the term “flying boat.”

  • It's really amazing how man has progressed from these ill-looking machines to the contemporary spy planes. Some of the planes look more like boats, but then again, they double up as one, so it's just fitting to have such an appearance.
