Remember “ACOM”, Allegheny Commuter based in Atlantic City New Jersey. The company was Southern Jersey Airways.

Dot Com is a new callsign administered by the owners of the website FltPlan.com that is available for corporate aircraft. Since the FAA has rescinded the BARR program which enabled flight departments to block their aircraft on flight trackers, many companies are looking to use a callsign to hide their activity and avoid using their tail numbers.

Value-Jet actually bought AirTran, a 737 operator out of MCO (Orlando). And with the new air carrier certificate, new paint scheme, and new crash-free public face came the callsign “Manatee.” They kept the HQ in MCO and renamed it “Citrus.” Both Manatee & Citrus are meant to reflect the airline’s Florida “home base.”

No. First, The Cactus callsign was applied to all flights in the western U.S. The eastern flight's callsigns was “USAir”.
