Delta Unveils 747-400 Paint Scheme

By admin | December 16, 2008

Delta has unveiled it’s new 747-400 paint scheme.  I knew it was going to look nice, but I’m stunned.  This bird is beautiful!

  • The A340 is bigger and state of the art, but looks not quite right aesthetically. From a head on view it looks like the Alien creature from the movies....very large "forehead". I'd rather fly on the Boeing!

It's nice, unless... you are a NWA employee. Seeing a 747-400 in Delta Colors (as it says on the fuselage so that the tower isn't confused by our NW call sign) is nothing but blasphemy - esp since they "acquired" us with OUR money!
Sorry - needless to say, not so ready to embrace the new "family."

B O R I N G! looks like the paint job of a CARGO carrier... Come on Delta - you can do better than this - you've gone through half-a-dozen paint schemes in the past decade - and THIS is the one you "settle" on?? bleh

New livery is nice, but rather boring. White fuselages seem to be the ongoing trend these days, probably because they are cheaper, but still boring. It is an improvement over Delta's old and dated livery.
Gotta love the Boeing Jumbo....still looks as majestic as ever with its swept back wings, winglets, and its charactericstic hump. The A340 is bigger and state of the art, but looks not quite right aesthetically. From a head on view it looks like the Alien creature from the movies....very large "forehead". I'd rather fly on the Boeing!!! Was ahead of its time in '69 and will still be with us for some time with the new Intercontinetal on its way....
  • I loved Robby Gordon’s paint scheme, my favorite driver and if he did not cause all that commotion and trouble at the beginning and the first 200 laps of the race, I would not have got so many good shots of his awesome paint scheme. Also Jeremy Mayfield had a cool paint scheme too and Jeff Gordon.
  • I don't think it looks nice, the previous one was better though ...
  • i would prefer air bus than this ones
