<p>Ok, this is cool.  I&#8217;m not in to RC airplanes, for no reason at all really, but this one would be an absolute blast to fly.  I&#8217;ve been told it&#8217;s the largest RC airplane flying, and it sure looks like it.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s pretty well known by now that this video is a fake, but it&#8217;s got the aviation world buzzing about whether or not it would actually be possible to land an aircraft with one wing.  The idea being, that with an engine powerful enough as would be on an aircraft of this type, the aircraft could indeed land with one wing&#8230;at least theoretically.</p>
<p>Effectively, the pilot would use the vertical stabilizer for lift, and the remaining wing would become the vertical stabilizer.  With the rudder now acting as an elevator and a strong lift vector from the engine itself, it seems reasonable in a theoretical environment that this would be possible.  If you watch the control movements at each phase of flight, they&#8217;re consistent with what would be required to accomplish the landing.</p>
