I was impressed by the detail, and then the lights, and then that the aircraft moved on the taxiway center-lines…but then…well I’ll let you see for yourself.  The real magic starts around 1:00.

So, it’s settled.  I must take a trip to Hamburg to see this beautiful thing.

Ok, this is cool. I’m not in to RC airplanes, for no reason at all really, but this one would be an absolute blast to fly. I’ve been told it’s the largest RC airplane flying, and it sure looks like it.

Effectively, the pilot would use the vertical stabilizer for lift, and the remaining wing would become the vertical stabilizer.  With the rudder now acting as an elevator and a strong lift vector from the engine itself, it seems reasonable in a theoretical environment that this would be possible.  If you watch the control movements at each phase of flight, they’re consistent with what would be required to accomplish the landing.

It’s spectacular to see how the air traffic follows the time of day. Also notice how the North Atlantic Tracks are essentially one-way. They have to flush out the entire system before they can launch the West-bound aircraft.
