AIRLINES AND LABOR: Attendants to resume talks with Northwest |

Strike fears at Northwest Airlines cooled Monday after the carrier and its flight attendants agreed to resume talks this week.
Instead of heading to a court hearing to determine if flight attendants can legally strike, Northwest and its flight attendants union are headed back to the bargaining table for the first time in more than three months Wednesday in Minneapolis, with hopes of negotiating a new deal by June 30.
