US Airways Group Reports Incredible Results PDF Print E-mail
US Airways Group reported an - according to most anylysts- incredible net income for the full year 2006 of $ 303 million, reversed from a pro-forma loss of $ 335 million in 2005. US Airways Group is now the most profitable of the USA's biggest airlines/airline groups.

it's nice to see a US airline back in the black with substantial cash. What I think people should consider concerning USAirways is that they are just an overflow airline for the heavy hitters of the Star Alliance. The profit they have mustered is not due to their ability fill seats themselves, it's due to Lufthansa, and others not having the capacity for the demand. So by default, USAirways gets the passengers.
