One quick answer is a friend of mine that lost $970.000.00 
in stock. Amazing how you can start out as a car salesman and end up near the top at Delta in such a very short years. He can still catch "crappie" here at the lake in Croperll, Al. 
 
Life is just a journey anyway, the best part is the final destination.

Same thing that would have allowed USAir to buy Delta...the banks that underwrite the deals. That's why the airlines stiffed their employees of their pensions; the banks probably insisted on it. Who do the banks answer to? I don't know, but nobody gets any serious election money without serious IOUs to the financial houses and power brokers.  
Some democracy, huh?
