The ATR continues to demonstrate how a turboprop should be designed. The Q400 was the only competition for the ATR. They must be popping corks in Italy. |

The Q400 is really the only thing that can do the job it does. On top of that the economics are extremely good WHEN it's running. These two items make it similar to a proverbial illicit drug to airlines: When its working it feels so good that even though you know its killing you... you can't stop. |
