While that’s true, you are still excluding a large number of legitimate fares. For example if you look at the DEN-PHX Q1 2007 your average fare is about 20 dollars more compared to MIDT(CRS travel agent data), ATPCO fare's offered, and the raw data itself if you exclude all fares under about 20 dollars as bad. Also most other sources DO exclude bad fare data and correct for under/over/non reporting. |

This is because the O&D data is littered with zero fare data: non-revs, frequent flyer awards, crew deadheads, etc.
We take out those zero fare figures to give an accurate account of the actual ticket price. Other sources just use the unfiltered data, which is why they're so much lower.
Taxes and PFC's are not included in the O&D fare data. |

Did a quick comparison against some other O&D sources. Even though your clearly not removing taxes from the fare data, your fares are still $40-$50 bucks higher then what the data actually shows. |
