I'm glad... Written by Guest on 2008-05-27 15:30:56 Well, I'm glad that it was not set on purpose to test the braking capabilities. I flew at a regional carrier where we had a FO set the parking brake (ferry flight) prior to touchdown and landed. Well, the brakes worked with the same results as above. He was fired as soon as he got shuttled back to the terminal. I think the Captain should've been fired too for letting the FO so it. Specially due to the fact that the parking brake lever was on the Captain's side! |

They circled around for a while trying to get the brakes to reset. It was a programming glitch that Embraer had to make a fix fleetwide to. I believe A.net had a long thread on this. |
last chance braking... Written by Guest on 2008-02-07 11:24:11 At least in the A320 the last braking method you can use in an emergency is to apply parking brake... but I donīt know what happend if you land with parking brakes set, or if itīs impossible to do that... (maybe the brakes computer donīt allow that) |
